It consists of extracts of marriage entries from more than thirty Canadian newspapers and periodicals published between 1813 and 1854, papers such as the Kingston Gazette, Christian Guardian, Correspondent & Advocate, Patriot, Toronto Herald, [Hamilton] Gazette, [Toronto] Globe, and many more. Perhaps ten percent of the records, it should be noted, refer to persons with connections to other parts of Canada, the United States, and Great Britain.
